This act condemns future generations to ignorance.<br /><br />The Master Override: Aloy finds the Master Override, a small device crucial for defeating Hades.<br /><br />Sylens' Confession: Sylens confesses his past involvement with Hades, admitting he found Hades buried in a shattered Titan and served it. In exchange for knowledge, he helped Hades create the Eclipse, an army to do its will. He explains Hades' ultimate goal is to reactivate the ancient Faro robots to "devour the world all over again" by gaining control of the Spire, which Gaia built to deactivate these machines.<br /><br />Sylens' Betrayal and Aloy's Role: Sylens reveals he installed a "back door" in the Eclipse's focus network, allowing him to monitor Hades. He turned on Hades when it ordered his assassination after he questioned its intentions. He then began to observe Aloy after detecting her focus and resemblance to Elizabeth Sobeck, realizing her extraordinary nature and usefulness in discovering the secrets of the Earth.<br /><br />Sylens Departs: Sylens provides Aloy with his lance to fit the master override, giving her the means to inject it into Hades.
